PME 382 - Design for Circularity Design for Circularity explores the principles and practical applications of designing for a circular economy. Students will delve into reduction, reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling (the 5R’s) as fundamental pillars of sustainable engineering design practices. Life cycle analysis (LCA) theory, design for “R” methodologies, and emerging materials and processes will be covered. LCA and other circular design practices will be reinforced through a quarter-long design project.
