PME 381 - Materials & Processes for Polymer Circularity

In this lecture and lab course students will be introduced to the current state-of-the-art materials, manufacturing, and characterization technologies for polymer circularity (reduction, reuse, and recycling). Mechanical, chemical, pyrolysis and biological recycling technologies will be covered. Recycled materials and their properties, as well as specific products and their recycling technologies will also be discussed. Broad, hands-on lab experiences are utilized to reinforce lecture topics.
