BIOL 512 - Animal Communication w/lab An investigation into the biology underlying different modes of animal communication, including visual, acoustic, chemical, and tactile signaling behavior. The course will focus on the evolutionary and ecological significance of animal signals and discuss how communication is controlled by different mechanisms (using insights from endocrinology, genetics, and neuroscience) and how these behaviors are impacted by anthropogenic interactions.
