LDST 101 - Introduction to Leadership Studies

This introductory leadership course delivers faculty-led interactive mass lectures where students participate to critically examine leadership theory and their own development as leaders and followers. Students also participate and coordinate in Leadership Labs (led by more advanced leadership students) to participate in legacy-based community engagement initiatives. Each LDST 101 Leadership Lab works on a different legacy initiative, which (depending on student choices and project details) can provide experience in areas like team development, video, project management, event planning, communication, interpersonal, outreach/advocacy, social media, and conflict management skills.
