ANTH 361 - Indigeneity and Colonialism In this course, we will define the concepts of colonialism and Indigeneity, and explore how Indigenous peoples’ daily life and cultural experiences have been shaped by these political systems. Students will examine the colonial legacies of the discipline of anthropology, read works by Indigenous anthropologists and scholars, and put local experiences of Indigeneity and colonialism in a broader context across North America and the globe.
