PHYS 189 - Becoming a Successful Student of Physics, Astronomy, and/or Geophysics

Seminar for prospective physics and geophysics majors. Students will be introduced to the degree paths within the Physics & Astronomy department, and strategies for success in those majors. Students will also learn about opportunities to obtain teaching & work experience while at Western, areas of active research in the department, career paths that are enabled by a physics degree, and other topics of interest identified by each year’s students. S/U grading.
