ENVS 484 - The Literature of Nature and Place This course involves the student in many forms of dialogue on issues pertinent to humanity’s relationship with Earth. This course will take a diverse approach to broaden what is considered nature and place and who writes about nature and place. This standpoint will also include the cultural, historical, and sociopolitical context of writing about nature and place. By reading works by writers from diverse fields and by writing in response, the student will gain a better understanding of our planet and its needs. Students learn writing in creative nonfiction and personal genres.
