EECE 562 - Edge Computing and Analytics in IoT

This course covers Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing architectures and systems, an overview of the underlying sensors, different edge computing hardware and software platforms, and associated resource constraints. The course studies various technologies such as cellular, LoRa and Wi-Fi that provide wireless connectivity to IoT devices, as well as machine learning algorithms that enable the devices to perform edge analytics to efficiently collect and analyze sensory data. Advanced topics such as IoT security and privacy challenges in real-world IoT applications are studied.
