EECE 573 - Dynamics and Control of Power Converters


Modelling and control of three-phase high-power voltage source converters in stationary and rotating two-dimensional reference frame. Real and reactive power control of grid-connected power converters. Controlled DC port power converters. Autonomous operation of power converters. Applications such as wind generators, static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs), and high voltage DC systems.

Prerequisites & Notes: EECE 374 or ENRG 374; EECE 501; or instructor permission.
