EECE 512 - Engineering Optimization This course provides an introduction to optimization with a focus on designing algorithms for engineering systems. Topics include formulating an optimization problem to satisfy performance requirements, numerical solution techniques, gradient-based and gradient-free algorithms, solving optimization problems with multiple objectives, and developing robust solutions to optimization problems in the presence of uncertainty. Students will implement algorithms in a widely used programming language.
Prerequisites & Notes: EECE 346; EECE 501 or concurrent; or instructor permission. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
