BIOL 504 - Evolution & Development

This course will explore the intrinsic connections between changes in development and the evolution of complex organisms. We will examine how aspects of development can promote or constrain evolutionary potential and explore why multicellular species are composed of groups of traits that develop and evolve together. We will also study the development of Evo-Devo as a field of study.

Prerequisites & Notes: BIOL 206; BIOL 321 or concurrent; or instructor permission.
