ART 171 - Photography for Non-Majors

This course is for all students interested in gaining a studio art experience, and who may not have any prior background in visual art making. The medium of photography is particularly well suited to this goal. The course focuses primarily on analog techniques and materials of photography, complimenting the digital focus of ART 170. Digital cameras and output will also be utilized. The concept of photographs as a means of conveying ideas is emphasized.
