DISA 350 - Topics in Critical Disability Studies


This course examines topics in the field of Critical Disability Studies such as representations of disability in art and culture, Universal Design in physical and digital environments, the political and legal aspects of disability, the values and histories of disability communities, disability rights and disability justice movements, and/or cultural criticism of literature and popular media. This is an interdisciplinary course designed for students from any major. It is a required component of the Critical Disability Studies minor. Repeatable to a maximum of 10 credits, including original course. May be repeated once in the minor under different topics or instructors. Maximum of 10 credits from this course may count for the minor.

Prerequisites & Notes: ENG 101 or equivalent.
