MUS 551 - Intro to Musicology Seminar

This course will introduce students to the discipline, foundations, and current directions of musicology, including the relationships between its sub-disciplines and its applicability to their lives and careers as musicians. We will explore these concepts through reading, writing, discussion, and various other musicological methodologies. Students will also engage in individual research projects, in consultation with the instructor, and share the ongoing and final results of this research with other members of the seminar.
