MATH 111 - Functions and Algebraic Methods for Teachers This course is designed for preservice teachers to develop conceptual understanding of foundational algebra topics through problem solving, mathematical modeling, and analysis of multiple representations. The major topics explored in this class include linear, exponential and quadratic functions and inequalities. Cannot be counted towards majors or minors in Mathematics or Computer Science. Not open to students who have passed a college course in mathematics above the level of MATH 112.
Prerequisites & Notes: MATH 99 or college intermediate algebra course with a C- or better or suitable math assessment score. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
