BIOL 445 - Host-Microbe Interactions This literature-based course will cover the role of bacteria and fungi in symbioses ranging from mutualistic to pathogenic with eukaryotic hosts (including humans and their microbiomes). We will discuss the ecology, evolution, biochemistry, and cellular biology of symbiotic interactions. We will focus on the most current experimental approaches for investigating host-microbe interactions at the molecular and cellular level.
Prerequisites & Notes: BIOL 323; BIOL 345 with concurrency. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
