SOC 384 - Sociology of Health Integrates medical sociology with the field of population health. Explores conceptualizations of health and illness and ways the structure of society shapes health, health outcomes, life and death. The course examines health disparities and patterns across populations, theories about health and illness, and the impact of social processes, policies, and institutions on health and disease.
Prerequisites & Notes: Any course from: SOC 221, SOC 234, SOC 251, SOC 255, SOC 260, SOC 268, SOC 269, SOC 271 or instructor permission. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
