MBA 594 - Business Within Society Examines the appropriate role of business within society, and the corresponding duty of professional managers to promote organizational practices directed toward the well-being of society. Corporate social performance and ethical decision-making are differentiated and explored in some depth. Solid links between good theory and good practice are drawn. Organizational as well as personal mechanisms are introduced as effective tools to leverage free-market principles for the greater good.
