MBA 503 - Macroeconomics


Macroeconomics is the study of the economy as a whole. This course provides an introduction to current economic issues and to economic principles and methods in macroeconomics. We will examine how various aggregates such as gross domestic product, the unemployment rate, and the inflation rate are determined. We will look at the determinants of economic growth and development, the workings of financial markets and the causes of booms and recessions. In the latter half of the quarter, we will study how the government affects the economy through its monetary and fiscal policies.

Prerequisites & Notes: Admitted graduate student within College of Business and Economics.
