CHEM 576 - Cancer Biology & Current Therapies A review of the “hallmarks of cancer”; a detailed look at factors affecting genome integrity, immune system evasion, metastasis; current methods in cancer therapy; the design of engineered proteins to be used in cancer research and treatment; a brief introduction to some of the social/ethical/political issues associated with the costs of cancer treatments.
