ENRG 310 - Thermal Energy Systems This course introduces the scientific methods for analyzing energy flows in thermal systems, such as power plants, building energy systems, refrigeration and HVAC technology, and those found in production processes. Topics covered include first and second laws of thermodynamics, gas and steam power cycles, gas mixtures, refrigeration, humidification, fluid flow, heat transfer, and material considerations.
Prerequisites & Notes: MATH 125, CHEM 161 and PHYS 161; or instructor permission. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
