MLE 538 - Methods and Programming for P-12 Bilingual Classrooms


In this course, candidates will extend their knowledge of language development, assessment & instructional practices, with an emphasis on bilingual education settings. Students will focus on methods for instruction that support Multilingual Learners (MLLs) in Dual Language settings and other bilingual settings. We will build on techniques already introduced in previous classes on literacy and deepen learning around effective approaches to bilingualism & biliteracy across domains of reading, writing, listening & speaking.

Prerequisites & Notes: MLE 444 or MLE 544 or permission of program director.
