CHEM 427 - Aquatic Chemistry This course will cover the chemical reactions and processes affecting the distribution and cycling of chemical species in natural water systems like lakes and oceans. Topics include aqueous geochemistry, kinetics and thermodynamics, acids and bases, metal complexes, redox reactions, dissolution, sorption and precipitation, nutrient cycles, photochemistry, natural organic matter and organic pollutants.
Prerequisites & Notes: CHEM 225 or CHEM 333 or ESCI 333; or instructor permission. Credits: 3 Grade Mode: Letter
