COMM 465 - Gender and Communication

This course is designed to introduce us to the rich body of research that informs the connection among communication, gender, and culture. We will examine social changes in the ways that communication, gender, and culture influence one another and the theoretical approaches to gender development. Through our readings and discussions, we will be empowered to make informed decisions about how we personally enact out gender, address gender issues in our lives, and contribute to society’s attitudes, policies, and perspectives on gender.
