ENGR 130 - Introduction to Materials and Manufacturing Processes An overview of the fundamental science and engineering concepts behind the materials and manufacturing processes in use today for non-engineering majors. This will include an introduction to the relationship between structure, properties, processing, and performance of materials, an overview of the physical and mechanical properties of materials, including metals, polymers, and composites, and an introduction to the manufacturing processes used to make metal and polymer parts. This course does not count towards any engineering degrees.
Prerequisites & Notes: CHEM 161; MATH 157; PHYS 114 or concurrent. Credits: 4 Grade Mode: Letter
