PLSC 396 - Politics of Mexico This course introduces students to the study of the politics of Mexico. Topics covered include: the Spanish colonial period and fight for Mexican independence, the Mexican Revolution, the seven-decade rule of the Institutionalized Revolution Party, and Mexico's democratization since the 2000 presidential election. We will also discuss the Mexican Drug War as well as Mexico's complicated relationship with the United States.
Prerequisites & Notes: PLSC 261 or PLSC 271 or PLSC 291; or instructor permission. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
