HIST 326 - Immigration and Ethnicity in the Americas Surveys the role of immigration and ethnicity in the history of the Western Hemisphere from 1850 to the present day. The first part of the course offers a comparative overview of key migration flows to the Americas. The second section of the course brings to focus various topics such as the construction of ethnic identity, transnationalism, and race and national identity.
Prerequisites & Notes: Junior status; HIST 274 recommended if not a junior; or instructor permission. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
