MUS 225A - Aural Skills VI The development of aural and visual competence in the Western chromatic major and minor system; diatonic modes and other scales; introduction to extended tertian and non-tertian harmony. Singing with solfege, dictation, error detection, accuracy of rhythm, and intonation. Although the emphasis is Western art music, relevant examples from other musical styles and traditions will be drawn upon as well.
