MATH 505 - Algebraic Geometry An overview of algorithms and techniques inspired by geometry and used to solve systems of polynomial equations. Topics include affine varieties, polynomials, the division algorithm, Groebner bases, elimination theory, Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz, the ideal-variety correspondence and basic projective geometry.
