ENGR 170 - Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering The relationship between structure, properties, processing, and performance of materials; introduction to physical and mechanical properties of materials, including metals, polymers, ceramics, composites; and materials selection based on engineering design criteria. Processing includes: strengthening, deformation, phase equilibrium, and thermal treatments. Also offered as MSCI 201.
