KIN 321 - Sociology of Sport


This course examines the sociological implications of competitive sport in American society. Through analysis of race/ethnicity, gender, class, media, and youth sport issues, including discussions of both current events and sociological research, students explore the influence of broader social context on sport as well as the influence of competitive sport on society.

Prerequisites & Notes: KIN 306 or concurrent; or permission of instructor.
