HSP 450 - Survey of Addictions

Examines the etiology of substance use and other addictive disorders and the interaction with societal systems such as family, community, and health and human services. Discusses the evolving understanding of addiction treatment as a chronic disease, and roles of human services professionals in providing culturally appropriate prevention and intervention.
