GEOL 523 - Advanced Igneous Petrology Advanced course on modern methods of igneous petrology. Focus on magma generation and evolution, utilizing major element, trace element, and isotope geochemistry. Interpretive methods include use of the petrographic microscope and geochemical modeling exercises. Individual research projects required.
