COMM 236 - Introduction to Competitive Debate

Applied Practice course that requires participation in at least 2 weekend competitions throughout the quarter on a designated topic for debate. Students gain introductory applied knowledge in argument construction and refutation, research, critical thinking, and oral communication. Offered Fall and Winter only. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 credits, including original course. S/U grading.
