MUS 565 - String Teaching Methods and Materials

The teaching of heterogeneous string classes with particular emphasis on classes beyond the beginning levels. Areas of focus include teaching strategies for reinforcing fundamental skills, introducing intermediate and advanced skills, repertoire, rehearsal techniques, and curricular design and implementation.

Prerequisites & Notes: Graduate or post-baccalaureate level. Advanced applied skill on string instrument or instructor permission.
