ANTH 345 - Energy in the Global South

Energy has played a key role in the sociocultural and economic transformation of the Global South. This class examines the historical dimensions of these energy projects as a central component of modernization and national development. It also explores the impact on communities around the world of new or alternative energy technologies, infrastructures, politics, and political alliances, especially in light of the challenges presented by global climate change.
