MACS 302 - Marine Geological Processes


Students will learn to identify the drivers of geological processes in the coasts and oceans, including the origin and morphology of ocean basins, sediments from source to sink, and the ties between climate, coastal and ocean systems.  Exploration of these topics will include interpretation of sediment cores and other observations, and application of concepts to local events and processes in the Salish Sea and NE Pacific Coast.
