GEOL 330 - Energy from the Earth

This course covers the formation, development, extraction, limitations and technology associated with energy sources in the rocky part of Earth, particularly in the context of developing a sustainable energy mix for the future. Topics covered include a variety of fossil fuels, nuclear minerals and geothermal energy. Carbon sequestration techniques will also be discussed. Also offered as ENRG 330.

Prerequisites & Notes: GEOL 101 or GEOL 211 or GEOL 211A or SCED 202
