PLSC 395 - Politics of Latin America


Politics of Latin America introduces students to the most important political developments in Latin America over the last two centuries, as well as the key theoretical debates surrounding these developments. We will examine in depth issues of economic development, political conflict, corruption and political violence, populism, and the rise and fall of democratic governance.

Prerequisites & Notes: PLSC 261 or PLSC 271 or PLSC 291; or instructor permission.
