HIST 327 - Soccer in Latin America

Examines the history of Latin America during the twentieth century, using soccer as a lens to understand a number of issues that have engaged the attention of scholars of Latin America. Course materials underscore the problems of state formation, economic integration, the struggle for democracy, and the changing patterns of gender, ethnic and racial relationships.

Prerequisites & Notes: Sophomore status or instructor permission.
