MUS 264Q - Pedagogy/Lab: Marching Percussion

Instruction in performance techniques and teaching methods for the contemporary marching percussion ensemble. Classes will include hands-on instruction and drills on a variety of marching techniques to build both individual as well as ensemble technique. The course will also provide essential information covering: basic instrument care and maintenance, drum tuning, stick and mallet selection, instrumentation, and rehearsal strategies.
