HIST 471 - Piracy in the Early Modern Atlantic World This course examines piracy in the Atlantic World and beyond between the mid-sixteenth and the early-nineteenth centuries. Through readings, discussions, and multimedia, it uses transnational and chronological lenses to better understand the origins, course, and outcomes of various types and ages of piracy.
