M/CS 478 - Fundamentals of Cryptography


Construction and analysis of classical cryptosystems, Diffie-Hellman key exchange, ElGamal cryptosystem, RSA, cryptographic attacks, introduction to information and complexity theory, introduction to lattices and applications to cryptography, digital signature schemes related to RSA and ElGamal, modern symmetric key cryptography including AES.

Prerequisites & Notes: MATH 204, MATH 341, and one of the following: CSCI 140, CSCI 141, MATH 307.
