PSY 532 - Cross-Cultural Counseling This seminar is a basic introduction to the cross-cultural perspective in psychology. History of the modern cross-cultural movement will be covered along with a selection of a number of conceptual and methodological issues and problems. Topics include perception, cognition and emotion, developmental topics, social psychological variables, testing and measurement, personality and psychopathology, and virtually all areas of psychology mediated by culture and ethnicity. Some emphasis given to professional applications such as counseling.
