PSY 512 - Correlation Methods and Data Analysis Covers topics in bivariate and multivariate correlation and regression. Students learn to design correlation studies and to analyze correlational data involving one dependent variable and one or more independent variables. Topics covered include scale development and classical test theory, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, bivariate regression and correlation, multiple regression and correlation, dummy coding, moderation and mediation. Use of computer-based statistical software packages for data analysis and interpretation is stressed.
Prerequisites & Notes: Admission to MS program in psychology or permission of instructor. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
