ESCI 442 - Introduction to Remote Sensing An introduction to remote sensing concepts and techniques for monitoring the earth’s surface features. Special emphasis on mapping land use and land cover and on quantifying aspects of vegetation structure and composition. Labs are based on the use of data from airborne and spaceborne multispectral scanners and LIDAR.
Prerequisites & Notes: Completion of a 300-level course in either ESCI, ESTU, EGEO, ENVS, BIOL, GEOL, ANTH, or permission of instructor. Credits: 5 Grade Mode: Letter
