Exploration of varied global issues related to the increasingly complex issues of economic disparities, fragile democracies, environmental degradation, wars, human rights, globalization, and ethnic/religious conflicts. Examination of how the media shapes our understanding of these issues and our responsibilities as engaged citizens. This course is connected to the World Issues Forum speaker series. S/U grading.
